The
Model GFM-4800 Ground Fault Monitor was developed for use in underwater
electrical safety applications. The patented design will interrupt power within
20 milliseconds of sensing a ground fault. The modular design ground fault
monitor can be constructed in an AC or DC configuration. Each
signal from an external sensor module is displayed on an analog meter,
calibrated to read the resistance to ground from 0-10 megohms. Each channel's
trip point is individually set and displayed on the meter. When a ground fault
occurs on a specific channel, the ground fault monitor provides an interruption.
Model
GFM-4800 Advantages
Economy- Customer provided the option of
purchasing the exact number of channels (up to a total combination of eight AC
or DC channels) required to meet specific service needs. No more purchasing
multi-channel equipment that is over specified for service.
Future Expandability- Customer has the option of adding channel modules
to the Model GFM-4800 to meet additional service requirements. Features Offers full protection even when system power is off Continuously monitors DC resistance to ground Permits centralizing circuit monitoring Eliminates nuisance tripping, even on long cables Allows user to select individual trip points for each channel
